Earth Day Fun

I love talking to my class about Earth Day each year.  I like to take one day to teach each topic during Earth Day Week.  The days are split into:  recycling, endangered animals, importance of trees, and pollution.

I read different picture books to teach each topic.  Then we discuss the topic and make a note sheet about the topic (as they will need this for later in the week).

To also discuss the importance of trees.

The last day of the week we review all of these topics and the children have to write how they can help the earth.  They must use details about something we learned during the week.  I use this paper that I print out smaller and attach them to a bulletin board.
