Here are two projects I finished over the weekend.
These are my name sticks. Saw it
on Pinterest…of course! I always had name sticks that I kept in a coffee mug I
had printed from Vista Print, but I never thought of having two colors. I would call student’s names and rubber band
those sticks together so I didn’t call on them again, to give everyone a
chance. Well, now with the help of my
soon to be 7 year old son, here are my new sticks. When you call a student's name, you turn over the stick to show the other color. How smart, huh? We had so much fun painting them! He was ready for the next project, which was….
my scratch off tickets. I entered a contest on Tonya’s Treats for Teachers blog to win a set of scratch off tickets that she would create in a style I wanted (I love her!). Well, never in a million years did I think I was going to win. I am so new to this blogging and contest stuff, that I wasn’t even sure I entered the contest right. But I won! She is making me a wonderful set of mystery scratch off tickets to go with my theme for this year. I can’t wait to see them!
In the meantime, my son and I were on a roll with painting
so….we continued on. He helped me make
these too. I will keep these to use the
following year and use my cool mystery ones coming from Tonya this year, but it was fun
to make them. I should have painted the entire paint bubble, but my son said the kids would want to see where the bubble was to see where the words were. I guess he had an idea and we just went with it. If you go to her blog, she
has the step by step directions on how to make them. If my son and I could figure out how to make
them, so can you!
Welcome to the blogging world! I am getting there myself so welcome!!! I really like the multi colored name sticks, I bought the Carson Dellosa ones that you can wipe off and the name actually didn't stay on at all so this is a wonderful inexpensive idea!
